Who Is Brisbanes Cheapest 45kg LPG Gas Supplier? Compare

Who Is The Cheapest 45kg LPG Gas Bottle Supplier?

Prices Compared, and Money Saved.

Who is Brisbane’s cheapest gas bottle supplier? That’s the question I asked myself in 2024.

After being charged nearly $200 per bottle, I felt like i was being ripped-off

And i was right…

After making a few phone calls to compare prices I discovered that I was overpaying by nearly DOUBLE.

How much am I now paying?

$125 per cylinder.

It doesn’t pay to be loyal, does it?

If you’re overpaying for 45kg LPG cylinders like i was, and you want to save money, than do what i did…

Pick up your phone and start dialing gas bottle suppliers. Their phone numbers are listed below.

Tell them you’re a new customer and you want THE BEST PRICE THEY CAN OFFER. Most gas suppliers have special deals for new customers.

But none of them advertise the price online, and prices are always changing, so you’ll have to call to get the latest price and the best deal.

Here is a list of gas suppliers operating in South East Queensland, along with their service areas, and phone numbers, so that you can call and ask for the best price:

Origin –
13 35 74 (Delivers all over South East Queensland)

Elgas – No phone number available (Delivers all over South East Queensland)

Agas – 3282 5783 (Delivers all over South East Queensland)

Supagas – 13 78 72 (Delivers all over South East Queensland)

Plusgas – 5548 7100 (Delivers to Brisbane/Ipswich/Gold Coast)

KLM Gas – 5493 0493 (Delivers to Sunshine Coast/North Brisbane only)

Direct Gas – 1300 203 034 (Delivers to North Brisbane Only)

Hotgas – 5446 8777  (Delivers to Sunshine Coast only)

AAA Comet Gas – 55 13 15 17 (Delivers to Brisbane/Ipswich/Goldcoast)

Of the suppliers listed above, who was the most expensive?

By far the most expensive was Origin, at around $180-$200+ per cylinder.

I really don’t think they care about you and me, they probably don’t even need new customers.

In fact…  Origin Energy made a record profit of 1.4 BILLION last year.

Elgas and Agas were also on the expensive side, at over $150+ per cylinder.

And who was the cheapest?

Most of the others were about $140 per cylinder.

Plus Gas came in at around $135, AAA Comet Gas at $140, and KLM Gas at $145, but the cheapest out of all of them was...

SUPAGAS at $125 per cylinder.

After calling many of the suppliers on the list above, this is the supplied i signed up with.  I got the first two bottles  (in 2024) for under $100 each, and subsequent bottles in 2025 have been $125 each. I suspect at some point they’ll try to raise the price, and I’ll once again have to call around and find a better deal, but for the moment i’m very happy.

P.S. Depending on when your reading this article, these prices may have changed.
